Garden & outdoor lighting services in Eastbourne

Almost every garden we work on combines three or four of the disciplines below. We treat them as one layered scheme rather than six separate installs — borders first, then circulation, then the one or two features worth making the focal point after sundown.

What we install

  • Garden & Border Lighting

Low-level spike spots tucked into planting to graze foliage and pull depth out of borders after sunset.

  • Driveway & Pathway Lighting

Discreet bollards and recessed in-ground fittings that guide the walk from gate to front door without runway-strip glare.

  • Patio, Decking & Terrace

Warm-white recessed deck lights, wall washers and step lights sized so you can actually eat outside in September.

  • Tree & Feature Uplighting

Aimed uplights on mature specimens — copper beech, Scots pine, magnolia — set to graze the trunk and lift the canopy.

  • Security & Floodlighting

PIR-controlled, warm-white floods sited off the eaves rather than on them, so the beam actually covers the garden.

  • Architectural & Facade Lighting

Bronze and 316 stainless wall lights and grazers for period Meads facades, Sovereign Harbour render and coastal stone.

Built for the Eastbourne coast

Salt-laden air off the Channel pits standard aluminium and mild-steel fittings within a couple of winters. Within a mile of the sea — Meads, the seafront, Sovereign Harbour and Pevensey Bay — we specify solid brass, bronze or 316 marine-grade stainless with sealed IP65+ housings, and we record cable routes in writing at handover.

Where we work

  • Meads BN20

Period Victorian and Edwardian villas with mature gardens, high exposure to salt air off the seafront.

  • Old Town BN20

Established gardens behind period homes off Church Street — often mature trees that respond beautifully to subtle uplighting.

  • Town Centre BN21

Terraced and semi-detached homes with courtyard gardens where restrained, low-level schemes work best.

  • Hampden Park BN22

Larger family gardens with lawns and borders — ideal for zoned schemes covering patio, borders and rear boundary.

  • Sovereign Harbour BN23

Marina townhouses right on the water — every fitting we specify here is marine-grade brass or 316 stainless.

  • Langney BN23

Family homes with practical rear gardens where driveway and pathway lighting adds real day-to-day value.

  • Ratton BN20

Detached homes on generous plots on the Downs' edge — well suited to whole-garden designs with feature uplighting.

  • Upperton BN21

Elevated gardens with sea views — architectural facade lighting and terrace lighting are the usual brief.

  • Willingdon BN20

Larger gardens on the northern edge of Eastbourne, often bordering the Downs — we work to dark-sky-friendly aiming.

  • Pevensey Bay BN24

Coastal properties directly exposed to prevailing south-westerlies — marine-grade fittings are non-negotiable here.
